This Privacy Policy, which is a part of our Terms of Use, explains howHouse Numbers Inc., a Delaware corporation ("House Numbers," "Company", "we," "our" or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information we collect through our services, including via our website or email, and also any and all communications with us via phone call, email, text or otherwise (each, a "Service" and collectively, "Services").

When you use the Services, you consent to our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of information about you as described in this Privacy Policy.

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THIS POLICY. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THIS POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.

Capitalized terms that are not defined in this Privacy Policy have the meaning given to them in our Terms of Service.

Collection of Your Information

We may collect and store various information about you including, for example, information that you provide to us, information that we automatically collect through your use of the Service, and information from publicly available sources or third parties, as further detailed below. We will use and share any information that we collect from or about you in accordance with this policy, which offers you certain choices with respect to the use and sharing of your personal information.

Information you provide us directly

The information we collect from you will vary depending on the Service requested.

When you sign up for mortgage loan processing services, we may ask for information such as your first and last name, NMLS number, telephone number, email address and other details related to your company and mortgage business.

To perform mortgage loan processing services, we may also collect and store information that you provide to us about other people, such as your clients, real estate agents, escrow agents, lender account executives, and other parties involved in the mortgage transaction. By submitting information about someone other than yourself, you represent that you are authorized to provide us with that person’s information for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy and in the Services.

We may also retain any messages you send through the Services, including customer service correspondence (via telephone, chat, text, email or otherwise). Calls with us may be recorded or monitored for quality assurance, opportunities to improve, and training purposes.

Information That Is Collected Automatically

In addition to the information you provide to us directly, we may automatically collect information about your use of the Services, as described below.

Log file information. When you use our Services, our servers may automatically record certain log file information. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, browser language, operating system, platform type, device attributes, referring pages and URLs, number of clicks, how you interact with links, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the data and time you used the Services, errors you encountered, files you download, and other information.

Location information. When you use the Services, we may automatically collect general location information (e.g., IP address, city/state and or zip code associated with an IP address) from your computer or mobile device. Please note that if you disable such features, you may not be able to access or receive some or all of the features made available via the Services.

Cookies and other technologies. We and our third-party service providers may use cookies, clear GIFs, pixel tags, beacons, and other technologies that help us better understand user behavior, personalize preferences, perform research and analytics, deliver advertising and offers, and improve the Services. You can choose to accept or decline certain cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but your browser may allow you to modify your browser settings to decline certain cookies if you prefer. If you disable cookies, you may be prevented from taking full advantage of the Services.

Web analytics. We use third-party Web analytics services on our Services, such as Google Analytics. These service providers help us analyze how users use the Services. The information collected by the technology will be disclosed to or collected directly by these service providers. To prevent Google Analytics from using information for analytics, a user may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

We may use information that is collected automatically in a number of ways, including: (a) to remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it; (b) to provide personalized content; (c) to provide our Services; (d) to monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, and demographic patterns; (e) to diagnose and fix problems; and (f) to deliver advertising to you.

Information from Third-Party Sources

We may receive information from publicly and commercially available sources, as permitted by law, which we may combine with other information we receive from or about you. For example, when you give us a property address, we may obtain the property tax history for that property or estimate the value of the home using an automated valuation model.

Do Not Track Signals

Some Internet browsers may be configured to send "Do Not Track" signals to the online services that you visit. We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" or similar signals.

Use of Your Information

We may use your information and/or combine any or all elements of your information for a number of purposes, including:

  • To provide you with, manage and improve the Services.
  • To process and fulfill a request or other transaction you request.
  • To communicate with you. We may send you emails containing newsletters, promotions and special offers, or certain Service-related emails (e.g., account verification, changes/updates to features of the Services, technical and security notices).
  • To provide personalized services, including content, ads, products or services, either through Company, Company’s affiliates or a third party marketing partner.
  • To conduct surveys and offer sweepstakes and similar promotions.
  • To market and advertise Services and the services of certain third parties we work with.
  • To locate or try to locate the same unique users across multiple browsers or devices, or work with providers that do this, in order to better tailor advertising, content, and features, and provide you with a seamless experience.
  • For research and analytical purposes, for example, to understand the effectiveness of certain marketing campaigns or products or services.
  • For certain operational purposes, for example, to perform audits and quality control.
  • To protect, enforce, or defend the legal rights, privacy, safety, security, or property of Company, its affiliates, employees or agents, or other users and to comply with applicable law.
  • To aggregate/de-identify data.

We may use de-identified and/or aggregated data for any purpose and without any restrictions, including for research and marketing purposes, and with advertisers, partners, sponsors, and others.

Mobile Marketing and TCPA Compliance. We are committed to complying with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) regulations. We only work with marketing partners who adhere to TCPA regulations and obtain prior express consent from users before sending marketing messages. We will not send you marketing text messages unless you have opted in to receive them.

We may otherwise use your information with your consent or at your direction.

Use of Data for AI Improvement

Data Utilization for System Enhancement. We are committed to continuously improving our AI-enabled Services to provide you with the best possible experience. To achieve this, we may use data collected from your interactions with our platform, including but not limited to inputs, outputs, and system usage patterns (“User Data”), for purposes of training, fine-tuning, and evaluating our AI models.

Types of Data Collected. The User Data may include any information you provide or that is generated through performance of the Services. This can encompass: text inputs and outputs, feedback on system responses, interaction logs, error reports and related diagnostic data, performance and usage analytics.

Purposes of Data Use. User Data may be used to: train and fine-tune machine learning models, improve system accuracy and functionality, develop new features and services, conduct quality assurance and testing.

Anonymization and Aggregation. To protect your privacy, we will take appropriate steps to anonymize or aggregate User Data before using it for AI improvement purposes whenever feasible. This means that data will be processed in a manner that does not allow it to be associated directly with you or your organization.

Sharing of your information

We may share the information we collect or receive from you in a variety of circumstances, including as listed below.

Providers. We may share information you provide us with lenders (including underwriters, account executives, and closing agents), real estate agents, title or escrow companies, insurance companies, and other service providers involved in the mortgage transaction (“Providers”) in connection with providing the Services to you, so that they may faciliate mortgage loan processing services and the ultimate consummation of a mortgage loan transaction.

Affiliate companies. We may share information with any companies controlling, controlled by, or under common control with Company.

Service providers. We may share information with third parties who work on behalf of or with us, such as vendors, processors, contractors and agents. This includes, for example, providing customer service, auditing, administrative support, accounting, hosting, advertising, marketing, research, analytics, compliance and communications services.

Marketing partners. We may share your personal information with third-party marketing partners. Marketing partners also include those entities who link to our Services from their site.

Other parties when required by law or as necessary to protect our users and Services. Company may share your information where required to do so by law or subpoena or if we reasonably believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law and the reasonable requests of law enforcement; and/or (b) exercise or protect the rights, property, security, or safety of Company, our users or others.

Business transfers. We may buy or sell Company or any part of its assets or businesses. Your information may be among the items transferred in these types of transactions. We may also sell or otherwise transfer such information in the course of corporate transactions or proceedings.

We may disclose de-identified and/or aggregated data for any purpose and without any restrictions, including for research and marketing purposes, and with advertisers, partners, sponsors, and others.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

We take technical and organizational measures to protect your data against accidental, unauthorized or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration or disclosure. These measures vary depending on the sensitivity of the information we have collected from you. However, no method of transmission of data or of electronic storage is absolutely secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. Also, we are not responsible for the measures taken (or not taken) by any third party.

To protect your privacy and security, we may require a unique password to verify your identity before granting access to your account. You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your passwords and account information, and for controlling access to your communications devices and software, at all times.

Your Choices About Your Information

Your Account Information and Settings. If you set up a profile in the Services, you may update certain account information at any time by logging into your account. You can also contact us atsupport@housenumbers.io to change your preferences.

Other Opt-Outs. As required by law from time to time, we may offer you certain other choices with respect to the use and sharing of your personal information, including the right to opt-out when applicable.

How Long We Keep Your Information

Following termination or deactivation of your account and use of the Services, Company may retain your profile information for an additional period of time for backup, archival, or audit purposes. In certain circumstances, we are required by government regulations to store various information. In order to comply with those requirements, we may be unable to delete your information from our database until the legally required retention period expires.

No Collection of Information from Minors

Company does not knowingly collect or solicit any information from anyone under the age of 18 or allow such persons to register as users. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from someone under the age of 18, we will promptly delete that information.

Links to Other Web Sites and Services

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites or services linked to or from the Services or to which you direct Company to retrieve information, including the information contained therein. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service do not apply to third-party websites or services. Your browsing and interaction on any third-party website or service, including those that have a link in the Services, are subject to that third-party’s own rules and policies. In addition, you agree that we are not responsible for, and we do not have control over, any third-parties that you authorize to access your information. If you are using a third-party website or service and you allow such a third-party access to your information, you do so at your own risk.

Certain California Privacy Rights

California Civil Code Section 1798.83, also known as the "Shine The Light" law, permits users who are California residents to request and obtain from us once a year, free of charge, information about the personal information (if any) we disclosed to third-parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. If applicable, this information would include a list of the categories of personal information that were shared and the names and addresses of all third-parties with which we shared information. This California Consumer Privacy Act Notice for California Consumers ("CCPA Notice") supplements our Privacy Policy. This notice applies solely to California residents. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

Your CCPA Rights

Subject to certain exceptions, the CCPA affords you the following rights with respect to your personal information. It’s worth noting that these rights do not apply to personal information we collect about California consumers who apply for or obtain a financial product and service for personal, family, or household purposes.

Request to Know. You have a right to request that the Company disclose what personal information it collects, uses, discloses, and sells. It includes a request for any or all of the following:

  • Specific pieces of personal information that the Company has about you;
  • Categories of personal information the Company has collected about you;
  • Categories of sources from which your personal information is collected;

The advertising services we use may collect certain information, including cookies and similar information stored on your browsers, advertising identifiers on your mobile devices, and/or the IP address of your devices when you visit our sites or use our apps. Those advertising services we use may tailor and deliver ads to you on your devices. Even though we do not provide personal information to these companies for money, California law may characterize this activity by the advertising providers as "sales" of personal information. You have a right to request that these companies discontinue these targeted advertising activities.

No Discrimination. You have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment by the Company for the exercise of the privacy rights conferred by the CCPA.

How to Exercise Your CCPA Rights

Submitting a Request to Opt-Out. You may submit a Request to Opt-Out by calling us at (800) 754-4903 or by emailing legal@housenumbers.io. We currently do not have a method that would allow us to contact the advertising service providers on your behalf as we do not associate these cookies and other signals to any personally identifiable information we may maintain about you.

Verification Methods. Once you submit a request, we will verify that you are the consumer to which the request pertains by matching your name, email address and physical address with information we maintain. If we are unable to verify your request with the data points you provided, we may reach out to you for additional information to verify your request. We may also reach out to you for additional verifying information for requests requiring a higher degree of verification.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
